Beach Sports Complex
Beach Sports Complex is located on the right side of the Kazanka river near to the Aquatics Palace on the Sibgat Hakim street, 70. It was created for the XXVII World Summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan.

This Complex is a multifunctional center for beach sport events like beach volleyball, handball, rugby, football, badminton, frisbee competitions. Aside from tournaments, Beach Sports Complex is also used for leisure activities of the Kazan’s locals and tourists, who are provided with an access to the beach handball and beach football courts, dressing rooms with showers and the parking.

The Complex is actively used for national and international beach sport tournaments. Every year the Summer “Zenit” cup and Beach Sports Festival are held on this site. Last year this venue hosted the Russian beach games and the 2017 U18 Beach Volleyball European Championship.

During the 2018 Beach Handball World Championships there will be five sand courts for the teams (three competition courts and two training courts). The central court has a capacity of 2000 people, two other courts have a capacity of no less than 400 spectators.

On the territory of the Complex a temporary infrastructure will be created for organizers’ offices, a press-center, athletes’ dressing rooms and leisure zones, referee rooms, a medical office, a doping-control zone.

The Aquatics Palace facilities will be used for the organization of an accreditation center, volunteer office and for the holding of press conferences.
