The Head Coach of the Russian team Vladimir Poletaev shared his opinion regarding this tournament.

“That’s a good thing that we can participate in this tournament because we need to practice. Our opponents will be very competitive teams – clubs from Croatia, the Netherlands, Poland, Hungary, maybe from Sweden and Denmark as well. We also reached an agreement to play a friendly match with the Australian team. We will work on the team play in both offensive and defensive play” – said Vladimir Poletaev.

After the tournament in the Netherlands the Russian men’s team will go back to Moscow and then to Kazan – the venue of the Beach Handball World Championship which will be held from 24 to 29 of July 2018. The Russian team will play with Brazil, the USA and Sweden at the group stage. The defending champion among the men’s teams is Croatia.
