Coaches of the Swedish Men’s team talk about its chances to advance to the 2018 BHWCHs playoffs
2018 IHF Men’s and Women’s Beach Handball World Championships will be held from 24 to 29 of July in Kazan. 16 men’s and 16 women’s teams will compete for the medals. The Swedish men’s team will make its debut at the Championship and will play with Brazil, USA and Russia.

“Our expectations from the Championship is to go to Kazan and play as good as we ever can. To play against teams outside Europe and get to know new sides of beach handball” – said Tony Karlsson and Heléne Bernhardtz.

The coaches of the Swedish team also evaluated the chances of their team to qualify for the knock-out stage.

“Our chances are good. We know that we can beat any team in the world when we play good. We really believe that we will be top three in our group” – admitted Tony Karlsson.
Heléne Bernhardtz also made a comment concerning a final result which would be satisfactory for the team.

“Our aim is to play really well. Of course we want to go to the main round but to do that we need to play really good. If we ends up in the top 8-10 teams I think we have made a really good debut in the World Championships” – said Heléne Bernhardtz.

The reigning champion of the men’s tournament is Croatia.
